Above The Noise

In a world as chaotic, loud and dysfunctional as our own, Above The Noise explores how Red Bull skydiver Maja Kuczynska uses her sport as a way to rise above the maelstrom, 60 seconds at a time.

When it comes to difficult to film activities, skydiving is pretty much at the top of the list. Going into Above The Noise, we knew capturing Maja’s graceful performances in the air was going to be a challenge.

We worked with world-class freefall cinematographer Mairis Laiva to develop a camera rig that would stand up to the extreme forces associated with falling at over 160mph, whilst still delivering impeccable image quality.

Shooting took place over 10 days in Poland; including locations in Warsaw, Katowice and Hel, and encompassed active airfields, state-of-the-art wind tunnels and the second deepest pool in the world.
